ToughMet 2 CX90 (UNS C96970) is Materion's Cu-Ni-Sn alloy for heavy-equipment bushings and bearings, made with its EquaCast technology. Materion says it gives the same performance as ToughMet 3 CX105 in plain sleeve, thrust and linear bearings at a lower cost, and its higher thermal conductivity than ToughMet 3 helps protect the lubricant.
